BAX Q7 RT STEC
REAL-TIME PCR TEST FOR SHIGA TOXIN PRODUCING E. COLI (STEC)
The BAX® System Real-Time PCR assay for the top 6 non-O157 Shiga Toxin-producing E. Coli produces clear yes-or-no results for STEC with minimal hands-on required. The Real-Time STEC Screening assay multiplex technology generates a positive when both the toxin producing genes (stx and eae) are detected. The STEC Panel 1 and Panel 2 kits each detect 3 of the top 6 non O157 STEC. Multiplex technology generates a positive when any one of three E. coli serogroups are detected: Panel 1 targets E. coli O26, O111, O121 while Panel 2 targets E. coli O45, O103, O145.
