IDENTIFICATION OF LISTERIA SPECIES
The Solus Listeria identification kit is based on an eight well microstrip system for identifying suspected Listeria isolates from selective or non-selective agars. The compact microwell format include a range of carbohydrate substrates for fermentation tests and an empty well for the haemolytic activity test. After incubation at 35-37oC for 18-24 hours the biochemical reactions are read and the results recorded on the reaction card. Positive reactions are used to generate the 3 digit code which is then used to determine the species of the isolate from the results table.
