Microgen Legionella is a latex agglutination test included for confirmatory identification of Legionella pneumophila and commonly isolated Legionella species grown on selective media. The test is suitable for organisms derived from patients with suspected Legionella pneumophila or from environmental sources. Microgen Legionella allows the separate identification of L.pneumophila serogroup 1 and Serogroup 2-15 and commonly isolated Legionella species.

Microgen Legionella pneumophila identifies a range non L.pneumophila species of clinical significance with high specificity and no cross-reaction with L.pneumophila.

  • L. dumoffii
  • L. longbeache 1 and 11
